9th Annual ArtWalk
Hello Friends!
It’s time once again to start registration for this year’s 9th Annual ArtWalk, in Downtown Wilmington, NC. This year’s event will be on Saturday September 11th, with the event going from 10:00am til 5:00pm. This event has continued to grow every year, and this year will be no exception.
For those of you who have not been to our event, we close down Front St.(which is the main street thru downtown Wilmington) and set up all of the artists down the middle of the street, for 6 blocks. Pedestrians stroll down thru the area to explore all of the wonderful items on display. In the past, this event has drawn 10,000 people throughout the day. The main highlighted part of the event is the $75.00 level. This allows you a 20' x 10' area to display your work however you wish. The next level is the "Up & Coming". The price for this area is $35 and allows you a 10' X 10" area space. This area has a retail price restriction of $150 or less. This area is more intended for artist who are trying to break into a larger event and get their work in front of a large crowd.
We are also working on doing another art parade this year. Last year we introduced the first art parade, “The Procession of Peculiar Pets”, and it was a huge success, and loads of fun! This year’s theme will be announced shortly. We welcome everyone to come down and show their creativity, of all levels. Anything from performance artists, children groups in something that they've made, to a pet parade, the possibilities are endless. Anyone that has interest in participating (both in a performance sense or constructing for the parade) or knows any individuals or groups that would have interest, please contact me at the email address listed below.
